The latest buzz on Mistress of the Revolution

I am back from Venice, and I will soon post about it. Yes, Venice remains a wonder, a delight to the senses, a history lover’s dream come true. More later…

After three days of absence, I was thrilled to see that cyberspace has not forgotten my heroine Gabrielle. Two bloggers who have not yet finished reading the novel already found it worth a mention: Chris Late at The French Journal and Danielle Torres at A Work in Progress.

The book was also reviewed by Laura at Laura’s Reviews and Telynor at Epinions.com. Telynor also posted her review on Amazon and is kind enough to say that Mistress might make her Top 10 list for this year!

Thank you, Chris, Danielle, Laura and Telynor.

Thank you for visiting, Elaine. Just found your own blog from Sibylle’s as well.
The tourist situation in Venice was actually quite within the limits of the tolerable, especially in the smaller streets, where I saw only natives. I am back in London right now, and feeling rather blue about it… Fortunately I am leaving again on Sunday for my Mom’s place near Bordeaux.
Have a great trip to Barcelona!

  2. Catherine – I have just found your blog and website via Sibylle’s new blog and your book Mistress of the Revolution looks right up my street. I am off to Barcelona for a few days and when I get back will get hold of a copy.

Delighted to see you love Venice – each time I visit I am overwhelmed by this city’s beauty, even if it is packed and heaving with tourists (after all I am one such) and each time I hope I will love it as much as ever. And I do.
