Ive heard this before so many times! I never thought to find out who sung it so wonderfully!

I just rented a bunch of her PBS appearances from netflix including one with Placido Domingo.

Did you know she was honored with a Kennedy Center award 6 years ago? It was mentioned on the evening news the other night.

  6. I love Delibes, with a particular fondness for Lakme and the Flower Duet. What a gift Dame Joan had!

  7. No matter how many times I’ve heard (and loved) the Flower Duet, *that* performance gave me goosebumps.
