For the King: reviewing proofs
It is just that I am reviewing the first proofs of For the King. It seems strange, doesn't it? It will not be released until July 2010, and yet we are already under a strict deadline. And this is very important, for it will be my last opportunity to correct any stray errors or typos. But the proofs will have to go back to New York in a couple of days, and I will go back to blogging.
More Perrault fairytales will be coming your way, and I have to tell you about a gorgeous exhibition I just saw in London...
My s.o. is also a writer - going over proofs is one of my duties. I'm the spell check demon in the family. LOL I may not know the facts presented; however, I can spell them accurately!

Mazel Tov, Felicitations. Will you be having book signings in Paris when it is released let's say in July? I plan to do my best to get to France for part of an European Tour and I would love to meet you, get the autograph & the picture. are you available for lunch? as long as I'm over there? I would love to try French food. the real thing except I can't have more than 4oz of liquor, otherwise i will be under the table singing(off key) the soundtrack of the movie South Pacific. LOL. I am so happy about the book. I am telling everybody. and maybe i will get lucky and will be there in time for the release. my credit card can do the math from my currency to the Euro.
this is really exciting. and now I wonder what you are plotting for those 3rd and 4th books? I also will want the autograph, the photo and a hug would be nice to have.
May you live to be 120 as publish as many books.

I forgot to mention I am proud to have a shelf dedicated to French lit, history biography etc. I have space for all of Madame Catherine Delors books from now on. just think first editions signed by the author and I will also buy the paperback so one shelf in the bedroom and one in the living room.
if you are ever in NYC, you have to take a look at what I have done with the pictures from this blog.
I think I am becoming a Francophile.
by the way i love that autumn scene. I hung it up on my dining room wall. but there is still space in the bedroom and kitchen and maybe i can make more room in the living room. after all, we still have not seen the Tours art from last year.
I must get to the Frick. I am sure they have some of the artists mentioned here. and i hope they let me photograph them. this season is watteau is he the one from your masthead by the way?
