What a stunning collection. I was just looking at the section on the 18th century...amazing that so many pairs of shoes survived. Thank you for the info. And thank you too, Catherine, for the listing. I am honored.
Catherine

What a gorgeous dress. I am endlessly fascinated with how people clothed themselves so far back in history. For Christmas I received the most elegant set of Fashion books (heavy coffee table books) from the Kyoto Costume Institute--I especially love the first volume of earlier fashions (many of them are French).

You are most welcome. Meghan. True, these dainty shoes are a wonder, with their very high and rounded arch.
Ooh, looks lovely! My favorites are always the shoes. For some reason, shoes from the past bring history more alive to me than any other artifact. Thanks for posting! =)
